Transcendent Reading Program

 

Improve your child’s reading skills from Elementary-High School.

 

The Reading Program is designed to teach students that they must learn to read and then read to learn.  The early stages of foundational reading will cause the student to have a very strong educational success. 

 

We use effective reading strategies and have all grade level worksheets that will help the student  to achieve their goals in each session. We recommend one session per week and if the student is below grade level we encourage a second session per week.  Transcendent focus on build whole students, therefore we offer ELA worksheet along with writing skills  they will advance overall.  We help students to master reading concepts that put them on or above grade levels. We offer the same technique for all grade level and ages. We prepare students for the End of Grade (EOG) test by using effective strategies and resources that will prepare the students for the test.

 

Kindergarten/Ages 5

Read to Learn

Transcendent provide phonological and phonemic awareness that allow students a strong foundation for reading.  Our team help build a strong love for reading. We are here to guide and support. 

 

 

1st - 5th grade/Ages 6-12

Learn to Read

“Oh The Places You”ll Go”! Expanding the minds of students to enjoy reading. 

This is the time when reading is mainly about comprehension.  Students need to understand the information that is given in order yo retell what they read.  Learning reading skills will increase students awareness and confidence while learning. 

Your child begins at the right level.

A Transcendent Staff will assess the students and do session progress monitor for data tracking.  This will provides a tracking system for their developmental growth.  We focus on helping students to decode, be fluent, build oral language vocabulary and comprehension. 

 

6th - 12th grade/Ages 13+

During our reading sessions we develop collaboration, communication, and critical thinking in order to prepare students to be advanced readers.  Competing in today’s world takes advanced reading skills. Our goal is to make sure they are college ready. We read fiction and non-fiction passages, your child will develop critical thinking and use Bloomz Taxonomy steps to analyzing complex texts from literary.  This will help with advancement for reading.  diverse information and form a judgment becomes a valuable academic, and lifelong, skill.

Transcendent Reading List

Any books that are exploring the rich literature for your child in the areas of  history, the arts, science, and culture, and features a diversity of genres, writing styles, and authors.  We assign students books off of an online site called GetEpic and it is based on their reading levels.
